How We Use Cookies on the Site

Email Marketing

There are two kinds of emails sent from the Site:

  1. Order Notifications

Order Notifications keep you updated on your order. They let you know a successful purchase was made, give you an idea of the shipping time, and let you know if an order has been cancelled or refunded.

  1. Trigger Emails & Newsletter Type

Trigger type emails are those email types that are sent if you perform a certain action on the site. This can be done in a number of ways. We have provided some examples:

  1. You may have bought a particular product and receive follow up emails with warranty and product data.
  2. You add something to your cart, left the Site without purchasing, and a Trigger is sent to remind you of this.
  3. You may have looked at a certain product, and we send ‘Retargeted’ emails to incentivise you to purchase.

A Newsletter type email is a more traditional type of email, where the email is created and sent in batches to our whole email list or segments of it. Some examples of this can be, new offers, new products and upcoming events.

You can always unsubscribe from emails at any time. You have total control over whether you want to receive all, some or none of our emails. We can’t unsubscribe your from Notification type emails, since this is a legal obligation to send you these.

You may receive emails from us for one of these reasons:

  1. You bought something in our physical store, and agreed to have newsletters sent to you.
  2. You bought something from our online store.
  3. You entered your details to receive emails yourself.

Measuring website usage (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics software to collect information about how you use the Site. We do this to help make sure the site is meeting the needs of its users and to help us make improvements, for example improving site search. Google Analytics stores information about

  1. The pages you visit on the Site
  2. How long you spend on each the Site page
  3. How you got to the site
  4. What you click on while you’re visiting the site

We don’t collect or store your personal information (for example your name or address) so this information can’t be used to identify who you are. We don’t allow Google to use or share our analytics data. But if data was used in such a away that bits of information are ‘blocked’ together, it can form a profile of you.

  4. Mobile Advertising: You can opt out of having your mobile advertising identifiers used for certain types of Interest Based Advertising, including those performed by us, by accessing the settings in your Apple or Android mobile device and following the most recent published instructions. If you opt out, we will remove all data about you and no further data collection or tracking will occur. The random ID we (or our third party partners) had previously assigned to you will also be removed. This means that if at a later stage, you decide to opt-in, we will not be able to continue and track you using the same ID as before, and you will for all practical purposes be a new user to our system.
  5. Do Not Track: Some Internet browsers – like Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari – include the ability to transmit “Do Not Track” or “DNT” signals. Since uniform standards for “DNT” signals have not been adopted, our Websites do not currently process or respond to “DNT” signals. MailChimp takes privacy and meaningful choice seriously and will make efforts to continue to monitor developments around DNT browser technology and the implementation of a standard. To learn more about “DNT”, please visit All About Do Not Track.
